1. Payment Terms: Payment is due upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Payment may be made by cash, or credit/debit card. A deposit of 25% of the total estimate is required before work can begin. The deposits are non refundable and will be deducted from the final cost.
2. Estimates: All estimates are based on the information provided by the client and may be subject to change if additional work is required. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
3. Materials: All materials will be provided by the contractor unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. The client may provide their own materials, but this must be agreed upon before the work begins.
4. Changes: Any changes to the scope of work must be agreed upon in writing by both parties. Any additional work will be billed separately and added to the final invoice.
5. Cancellation: The client may cancel the contract at any time before the work begins, but may incur cancellation fees as outlined in the contract. The contractor may cancel the contract if the client breaches any of the terms and conditions set forth in the contract.
6. Liability: The contractor will take all necessary precautions to protect the client's property while working on the job site. However, the contractor will not be liable for any damage caused by the client, their family, or their guests. The client is responsible for removing all valuable items from the work area before work begins.
7. Completion: The work will be deemed complete when the client has inspected the job and approved it. If the client is dissatisfied with any part of the job, they must notify the contractor within 24 hours of completion.
9. Disputes: Any disputes arising from this contract will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the work is performed.
10. Indemnification: The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the contractor against any and all claims, damages, and expenses arising out of the work done under this contract.
11. Work Site: The client is responsible for providing a safe and secure work site. The contractor is not responsible for any injury or damage caused by or to the client, their family, or their guests while on the work site.
12. Permits: The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits for the work to be performed. The contractor will provide assistance with the application process but is not responsible for any delays or denials caused by the permitting authorities.
13. Access: The client must provide access to the work site during normal business hours 7am-4pm unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. The contractor will not be responsible for any delays caused by the client's failure to provide access to the work site.
14. Delays: The contractor will make every effort to complete the work on time and within the budget. However, delays may occur due to weather, availability of materials, and other unforeseen circumstances. The client agrees to be patient and understanding in the event of delays and will not hold the contractor responsible for any resulting damages.
15. Termination: Either party may terminate this contract for any reason upon written notice to the other party. The client will be responsible for paying the contractor for all work performed up to the date of completion.
16. Disposal: All waste materials/sundries/containers are the sole responsibility of customer to dispose of, not the contractor. Unless an agreement is made which may occur in disposal fees.
17. Insurance: The contractor will maintain liability insurance while performing the work. The client is responsible for maintaining homeowner's insurance to cover any damages or losses that may occur during the work.
18. Intellectual Property: The client agrees that any designs, plans, or materials created by the contractor for the project are the property of the contractor. The client may not reproduce, distribute, or use these materials without the contractor's written permission.
19. The contractor will not be held responsible for any damage caused by other trades or external factors. We are of course happy to rectify (within reason) as a chargeable extra
20. Snagging: surfaces should be viewed in day light at a distance of 2m and not by shining artificial light on the surface. Wall lights or up lights should be switched off.Drying shrinkage may cause cracking in the paint finish, particularly we’re joints occur in plaster and woodwork .
